Dirk Hartog Island is one of Australia's most unique and remote eco tourism holiday destination.
Located in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area off the West Australian coast, the island's pristine ecosystem is home to some of the most amazing animals and scenery that Australia, and indeed the world, has to offer. The island boasts 3 rare bird species including the black and white wren, ancient fossilized coral reefs, several threatened reptile species, the biggest loggerhead turtle nesting ground in the south east indian basin and access to one eighth of the world's dugong population.

Homestead guests can relax in the comfy TV room or head into the bar and billiards room to enjoy a game of pool or darts, all with great ocean view. Guests can also learn more about the island's unique history with a wide range of historical memorabilia located throughout the Homestead. The Homestead is also home to a copy of the Dirk Hartog Plate, one of only a few known copies that are an exact replica of the original.
We believe that holidays should be as unique as the people taking them and this is why we can tailor make each holiday experience to suit the individual or the group. Guests can tell us exactly what they want to see and do during their visit and we will take care of the rest. We can organise anything and everything - from a cliff walk along the west coast ending with a picnic lunch at Surf Point to a day's fishing out on the boat at Turtle Bay or a 4WD tour of the island's southern end. We can organise snorkeling or diving at one of our secret spots or a lazy afternoon sitting atop of the 150ft sand dunes, sipping on wine and nibbling on a cheese platter watching the sun set on another beautiful island day.
